Viewparty uses account information to let users log in, join watch parties, and manage Premium access. Playback sync messages and chat messages are used to provide the party experience.

Payment details are processed by Stripe. Viewparty stores subscription status and Stripe customer IDs, not full card numbers.

When you watch a reliably identified movie or episode in a Viewparty room, playback activity can add it to your watch history after 60 seconds by default. Title and episode metadata are matched through TheTVDB. This history follows your profile visibility and may appear on a public profile. You can remove entries from your diary. The extension keeps temporary local progress and duplicate-prevention records.

Shared viewing sessions connect participants who watched the same title together. Public profiles may show other public participants' names and avatars. Room identifiers and authentication details are not shown publicly. Deleting a watch entry also removes its shared-session relationship.
